A short Introduction
Hi, my name is Zachary Poteet (Zack). I'm a dedicated and experienced Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) with a strong background in quality control and project management in the construction industry. Over the past five years, I have successfully managed and executed numerous high-profile projects, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
My journey in the construction industry has seen me take on various critical roles, including Quality Control Manager, Project Engineer, and Site Superintendent. I have been instrumental in managing and implementing project Accident Prevention Plans (APP), conducting site orientations, completing safety and equipment inspections, and overseeing significant at-height work operations and crane operations. My experience includes working on projects totaling over $217 million, such as the Moose Creek Dam Barrier Wall Modification Project and the renovation of the 43rd AMU Hangar Building 290, FL.
Currently, I am proud to serve as a Safety Professional and Quality Assurance Representative for the US Army Corps of Engineers. In this capacity, I enforce stringent safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance on some of the most complex and high-stakes projects. My role with the US Army Corps of Engineers has allowed me to develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and conduct detailed quality assurance inspections, ensuring that all work adheres to the highest standards.
In my role as a Quality Assurance Representative and Safety Professional, I have demonstrated a keen ability to enforce stringent safety protocols and regulatory compliance, ensuring that all projects adhere to the highest standards. My work on the Moose Creek Dam project involved modifying the dam's structure using advanced auger techniques to enhance its integrity and lifespan, reflecting my commitment to engineering excellence and innovation.
Similarly, my leadership in the renovation of Building 4511 at Fort Rucker involved coordinating with subcontractors, procuring submittal data, and performing daily inspections to maintain project timelines and quality. This project showcased my ability to manage complex construction activities, ensuring a seamless execution from start to finish.
With certifications in 40-Hour EM 385-1-1, OSHA 30-hour Construction, and USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors, I bring a robust knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance to every project. My commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment has been demonstrated through my proactive safety management and effective coordination with subcontractors and project stakeholders.
